Rehabilitation Hospitals & Facilities

When a person suffers a catastrophic injury, whether a brain injury, a spinal cord injury, loss of limbs or severe burns, acute medical care for the injury is only part of the healing and recovery process. Many of these patients require long term rehabilitation care to enable them to achieve the highest measure of recovery their injuries will permit. The Philadelphia area has many hospitals and facilities that offer an extensive range of inpatient and outpatient rehabilitative services including physical and occupational therapy, speech therapy, recreational programs and support groups. These facilities generally have programs tailored to provide appropriate rehabilitation therapy for different types of catastrophic injuries.
